About AllThingsLifeSciences/CleanTech: 2010

AllThingsLifeSciences/CleanTech: 2010 is the 20th venture forum program produced by venture-catalyst Springboard Enterprises. The program will source, qualify, coach and showcase women-led emerging growth companies from the life sciences and clean tech sectors who are seeking equity capital for product development and expansion.
Since 2000, Springboard has produced 19 Venture Forums featuring over 400 women-led companies that have raised $5 billion in equity, grants and corporate investments and have provided positive returns for their investors, including 7 IPOs. This year’s program combines virtual access with in-person events in order to maximize and deepen the connections between program participants and Springboard’s international network of entrepreneurs, investors, sector experts and trusted business advisors.

Quick Navigation:
Program Overview
AllThingsLifeSciences/CleanTech:2010 has three main components: recruitment & qualification; coaching; and connections.
- Recruitment & Qualification
Key Dates: Feb 1 - Applications Open | Mar 17 - Priority Application Deadline | Mar 31 - Final Application Deadline | Mar 17-Apr 30 - Three-round Screening Process
During the recruitment and qualification period, emerging growth companies in the life sciences and clean tech sectors are recruited internationally. Recruitment begins in February with assistance from our international stakeholder network and supporting organizations that have extensive sector expertise and connections. Our invitation-only committee of leading sector investors conducts a rigorous three-round review, including an online application review, business plan review and in-person interviews, to qualify a selected group of the most promising companies. - Coaching
Key Dates: June 2-3 - Bootcamp & Springboard Caucus Event (Boston, MA) | June - Coaching Begins | July - Walk Throughs and Presentation Videotaping
In May, selected companies attend an intensive entrepreneur Bootcamp session at Babson College near Boston, MA. Participating companies have access to Springboard’s professional presentation coaches, and are assigned a team of hand-picked experts to assist them in refining their investor presentations. The coaching process includes web conferencing calls; ongoing feedback from the team via in-person meetings, email and phone; and an in-person panel review midway through the program – the “Walk Through” – where each company will deliver their refined presentation. At the end of the coaching process, final company presentations are video- and/or audio-taped for additional promotion and exposure. Key Dates: July-October - Online Preview & One-on-one Meetings | Late October - Winners' Circle Awards Dinner (NYC)
In addition to the contacts made between the selected companies, their coaches and the investor screening committee, Springboard actively promotes and facilitates connections between the companies, Springboard alumnae entrepreneurs, active investors, strategic partners, service providers, our international network of trusted business advisors and the press. We employ a variety of methods, including:- Online Preview: Participating investors and strategic partners may view company information and review the video- or audio-taped presentations through our online forum platform.
- One-on-One Meetings/Introductions: In-person meetings between the selected companies and participating investors and/or strategic partners, as well as online webconference calls may be arranged. We will also invite all selected companies to our Annual Winners' Circle Awards Dinner in October.
- Ongoing Support: We are dedicated to providing maximum value to our entrepreneurs and investors, and will continue to make connections and other presentation opportunities available. Selected presenters become a part of our extensive network of successful alumnae.
