New York 2002

About: New York 2002
On April 15th, 2002 Springboard Enterprises co-hosted a new, intensive training program for women entrepreneurs with the New-York based Women President's Organization at Goldman Sachs. Springboard Bootcamp: New York 2002 provided entrepreneurs with in-depth information about securing equity capital and hands-on access to the community that is dedicated to launching and growing high-growth businesses.
The one-day program offered expert advice on what it takes to build and pitch a successful equity backed business, gave participants hands on experience and demonstrations of venture pitches and provided direct access to local service providers, business development professionals and investor resources. In addition, a select group of participants pitched their businesses to a panel of investors. Harvard Business School Professor Myra Hart presented a business case-study of ZIPCAR, a Springboard company and Meg Whitman, CEO of eBay, started the day with some insights about the challenges and highpoints of running one of the most successful internet companies to date.
