Monica Barone has held senior management positions with the Warringah, South Sydney City and City of Sydney Councils. She is the current CEO of the City Sydney. During her career Monica has promoted the importance of the private sector in partnering with government to support or deliver services and projects across all areas of service – be it arts, construction or waste services. She has strong links with business through her role in managing the City’s major cultural and event sponsorships and representing the City on various governing boards and committees.

Doron Ben-Meir is Chief Executive Officer of Commercialisation Australia (CA), a unique component of the Federal Governments Industry and Innovation portfolio. CA is an initiative that offers a merit-based assistance program to support and encourage the commercialisation of innovative, intellectual Australian property.
Over the past 20 years Doron has been involved in numerous venture capital organisations, and has been a founder or co-founder of six start-up companies, as well as an investor, investment manager, and/or advisor to several others. Through these activities he has built a substantial network both domestically and internationally.
Doron has extensive experience across various industry sectors. Through his investments and advisory work he has been involved in identifying and assisting innovative companies to commercialise their intellectual property and transition through various stages of business development. Doron has a Bachelor of Science, and a Bachelor of Electrical and Computer Systems Engineering (Hons) from Monash University.

Bonnie Boezeman AO spent 23 years in executive roles with Time Warner Inc in Europe culminating as Managing Director and Chair of the South Pacific for Time Life Books, Music and Video for over 12 years. She has been a non-executive board director on a variety of public, private, government and philanthropy boards in Australia for the past 16 years.

Maxine has specialised as a lawyer, academic and investment banker in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructures and general corporate activity. She was appointed a member of the Takeovers Panel and has served on a number of corporate boards including Federal Airports Corporation (Deputy Chairman), Treasury Corporation of NSW, Bulmer Australia Limited and Neverfail Springwater Limited, and is currently a Managing Director, Investment Banking at Investec Bank (Australia) Limited.

Carol has extensive experience in business, property and community organisations and is Executive Chairman of Qualitas Property Partners and on the Board of Stockland (ASX:SGP) She is also part of Yarra Capital Partners, The Sydney Institute and the City of Melbourne’s Enterprise Melbourne Advisory Board. She is also associated with the Bank of Melbourne Advisory Board. Her other appointments include Executive in Residence at Melbourne Business School and Chairman of Our Community. Carol is a past National President of the Property Council of Australia. She has also previously been Chairman of Industry Superannuation Property Trust, Executive Director, Highpoint Property Group and a Director of OPSM Group Limited. She has served on a number of government boards including Melbourne’s Dockland’s Authority and the Victorian Growth Areas Authority Task Force.

Tim is a founder of Australia’s most prominent Private Equity firm – Pacific Equity Partners and is currently Managing Director . Prior to founding PEP, Tim was the Chairman and Managing Director of Bain & Company’s Australasian and African operations and a member of the Bain & Company’s Global Executive Committee. He has more than twenty years of consulting experience in Europe, the US, Asia, Africa and Australasia. He was previously a founding partner of the LEK Partnership. Tim has been advising CEOs and management in Australia/New Zealand since 1987 on issues relating to strategy, M&A and operating improvements. He has also served on a number of government committees and led national strategy projects. Tim received an MA from Oxford University where he was a Mitsui European Scholar and an MPA from Harvard where he was a Kennedy Scholar.

Katherine is currently the Chief Executive of AVCAL, the Australian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, the national association that represents the venture capital industry's participants, promotes the industry and encourages investment in growing business enterprises. Previously, Katherine was the Chief Executive of the Technology Industries Exporters Group, an industry peak body she helped establish to assist technology companies improve their export performance. She has an extensive background as a management adviser and professional director, including working with Australian technology companies seeking venture funding through to being a board member of listed companies. She has also consulted for government groups on innovation and commercialisation. She is currently Chair of the Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Cooperative Research Centre and Council Member at the University of Technology Sydney. Katherine is also Director of one the world’s largest Shopping Centre groups, the Westfield Group and a Trustee of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
